Travelers Insurance Company was founded in 1853 by Alexander Wilkin.  On April 2, 1996 Travelers and The Aetna Casualty/Surety Company merge to form the nation's fourth largest property casualty company.  Today the Travelers Companies is the second largest writer of commercial property casualty insurance and the third largest writer of personal insurance through independent agents.  Total assets are over 104.9 billion and has 14,000 independent agents and brokers throughout the US.

The L.N. Davis Insurance Agency first contracted with Travelers in 1933.
